Impact Church is a small church with a big message of God's hope, healing and restoration of lives and families through Jesus Christ. We consider ourselves "full gospel" and are affiliated with the Louisiana District Network of the Assemblies of God. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to fiscal accountability. Our pastor leads our church with oversight by our Board of Elders.

our core values as a church

We value love and unity in our fellowship, and fiercely protect it. We address church disputes with gentleness and grace. "Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted." (Galatians 6:1)

We strongly believe in the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, Bible study, and Godly fellowship. We are not legalists; rather, we understand the importance Scripture places on self-discipline as related to spiritual growth. "...Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." (1 Tim. 4:7-8)

We are opposed to the prosperity Gospel which promotes lavish lifestyles and the love of money. We want to live within our means and be content, acknowledging that all we possess comes from above. "Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others." (1 Thess. 4:11-12)

We believe in the Biblical order for the church and family, which includes a proper understanding of spiritual leadership/headship. We understand male and female relationships not as misogynistic but complimentary and we seek to cherish those gender roles as God intended. "For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her." (Ephesians 5:23-25)
